God used the two young boys in this photo to birth the vision of Rosemary's. In 2011, Pastor Ray Hall met these two unknown named boys on the streets of Maasin City. They were homeless and were picking up trash. They were referred to as "throw aways." He purchased them a hamburger and walked away to finish his evangelist mission. Later that evening, God spoke to him and asked, "who will feed them tomorrow?" After speaking with the locals, he later learned there was not an orphanage in the area and the children that were "thrown away" were at the mercy of the streets. He surrendered to God's call to build the home the following day. Rosemary's Home of Hope now has 45 children that call the home THEIR home instead of an orphanage.
God's Vision Becomes Reality
Pastor Steve and Pastor Ray stand on the grounds that God would transform to become the campus of Rosemary's Home of Hope. The land was purchased in 2011, the middle picture is our current campus from the mountain top and the picture on the right is God's answer to his question, "who will feed them?" The answer is clear YOU. Thank you Lord for your blessings!
About us:
Rosemary's Home of Hope is a mission of Pastor Ray Hall, East Marietta Baptist Church, Marietta, MS. The home is run by Pastor Steve Dapitillia and his wife Kare. The home currently has 42 orphans.
With the help of generous people, our orphan family and workers were able to move into a permanent home in May 2012, in the Helio-octagan Barangay. The home will be suitable for many children.
"To God be the Glory for GREAT things HE hath done!" Since God gave me this vision in July 2011, we have been able to purchase 5.5 acres in the mountains near Kananga, Northern Leyte. The land was already cleared and came with easy access for water and electricity. We opened our private school in 2016 to give our children the quality education all children deserve.
